Our client is an integrated communication agency looking for a highly-skilled and experienced writer to develop content for a portfolio of clients in B2B, B2C, research and development sectors.

The ideal candidate must have strong content generation skills – public relations, digital media, marketing – and a keen eye for design.

If you are self-driven, are a go-getter, practice meticulous attention to detail, and are a stickler for following protocols and procedures and understanding the sensitivities within the private and development sectors, then this could be the right opportunity for you. 

Key responsibilities:
  • Develop content to support PR and communications activities, for example: opinion pieces, press releases, case studies, digital copy (website articles, social media copy, newsletter copy, reports, video and radio scripts and more
  • Concept development and planning (including developing key messages, campaign conceptualisation, etc.)
  • Ongoing development of new ideas, creative concepts, headlines, scripts and post-copy
  • Create concepts and copy that deliver creative briefs and align with business goals
  • Write video-based story ideas with the complete understanding of the types of video formats that work best across various communication channels and tactics (live, long-form, tap for audio, etc.)
  • Transform technical information into engaging and topical copy
  • Synthesize concepts in a clear, concise and client-facing manner
  • Edit and proof materials during all project phases
  • Ensure all creative adheres to existing brand guidelines and social best practices
  • Present ideas and executions to account teams and clients
  • Stay current on PR and social trends, and look for opportunities to incorporate them into your concepts
  • Wear multiple hats: were a collaborative and supportive team, so youll probably have the opportunity to play multiple roles throughout the conception and execution phases
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to turn ideas into content gold!

Ultimately, you should be able to act as the key content custodian for clients and lead content creation in a professional, fast-paced and engaging manner.

Requirements:
  • Degree in journalism, copywriting, English, media writing, creative writing, communication or a related field
  • Five+ years of writing experience in an agency or journalism environment
  • Strong conceptual and writing skills with a comprehensive knowledge of the PR and digital landscape
  • An excellent command of the English language
  • Ability to write in different styles and tones
  • Experience working with graphic designers and providing creative briefs
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, WordPress and other digital content management systems
