Terms of Service

Last updated 22 January 2026

1. Our Agreement

When you use the Spani Joe website or app, you are agreeing to these rules. If you do not agree with these terms, please stop using the platform. We may update these terms occasionally, and your continued use means you accept those changes.

2. Eligibility

To keep things safe and legally compliant, you need to meet two simple requirements to use Spani Joe:

  • Age: You must be 16 years or older.
  • Location: You must currently reside in South Africa.

By creating an account, you’re confirming that both of these are true. If we find out an account doesn’t meet these criteria, we’ll have to close it.

3. Job Aggregation & Sources

Spani Joe acts as a specialized search engine. Some of the job listings you see here are aggregated (collected) from various public job boards and company websites to give you a single place to search.

  • Not our content: We do not own or create these external listings. We simply index them.
  • Redirects: In many cases, clicking "Apply" will take you to the original source website.
  • Accuracy: Because we pull this data automatically, we cannot guarantee that the job is still open or that the details are 100% accurate.

4. Using Our Platform

We built Spani Joe to help you find work and manage your professional profile. You’re welcome to use our tools for personal job searching, but you cannot:

  • Scrape or copy our data for other commercial services
  • Try to break, bypass, or reverse-engineer our software
  • Post fake or misleading information
  • Use the platform to harass other users or employers

5. Your Account & Privacy

You are responsible for keeping your login details safe. Any activity on your account is your responsibility. If you think your account has been compromised, tell us immediately.

6. Your Content (CVs and Profiles)

You own the content you upload to Spani Joe, including your CV and profile photos. By posting them, you give us permission to host and share that content so we can show it to potential employers. You must have the legal right to everything you post.

7. Job Listings and Safety

Spani Joe is a bridge between employers and job seekers. We don't employ the people posting jobs, and we can’t personally vet every single listing for 100% accuracy.

Always exercise caution. We don't guarantee that a job posting is legitimate or that an application will result in an interview. Never pay someone to "secure" a job interview.

8. Liability & Service Limits

We aim for 100% uptime, but we don't guarantee the service will always be error-free. Spani Joe is not liable for any financial loss, missed opportunities, or data issues resulting from your use of the platform.

9. Subscriptions

If you sign up for premium features, you agree to the pricing shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel them through your dashboard settings before the next billing date.

10. Governing Law

Spani Joe operates under the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any legal disputes will be handled within the South African court system.
